ANNOUNCEMENT - I #BlameDrewsCancer for Living Strong
So. As you may have heard, I have Hodgkins Lymphoma, which is a form of cancer.
I started BlameDrewsCancer to raise awareness about cancer. Anything after launching the site has been an absolute plus. We’ve raised nearly $3,000 for the American Cancer Society, and $500 for the Make-A-Wish foundation. We’re still looking for sponsors to match $1 for each unique person who blames something on my cancer. (sponsor@blamedrewscancer.com)
Something was missing though.
There’s a whole community out there that got what Mike and I did.
That community is the Lance Armstrong Foundation - LIVESTRONG.
I am proud to announce today that our efforts at BlameDrewsCancer.com (and beyond…you ain’t seen nuttin’ yet) will be forever tied to LIVESTRONG (thats their link on twitter).
….Our fundraising, our outreach, our need to find a cure, our community message…our connection to cancer survivors, and those going through cancer situations of their own or in their families.
Today you will Live Strong. Tomorrow you will Live Strong.
What does all of this mean? Well, stay tuned to find out.
It means quite a bit, and a lot will come of and with our official partnership with LIVESTRONG.
What I can tell you is their organization from the top down is nothing short of wonderful.
Get ready.
