I'm (also) Buying Readburner
In case you don’t know, I’m into the web. And not just into the web as a hobby, I’ve used technology and the internet in all types of ways. I love stretching communication mediums, pushing the envelope on services to make them better. I have beta tested for many startups, QA’d software, and even worked as a Technology Evangelist for one for over a year.
More importantly, I’m a student of the web. I study the inner workings, I read blogs by influential people like Dave Winer who have helped shape and mold the internet into what it is today.
Those who know me really well, know that I have a tattoo on my left wrist of an RSS icon. Geeky, right? Not to me. To me, RSS means sharing, it means discovery, it means communication, it means free information. And so much more.
So when I saw that a site that I had followed since its opening in January, called Readburner, was shutting down…I knew what I had to do.
Buy it. Keep it alive and going. And more importantly, help it grow. And that’s what I’ve done along with Adam Ostrow and Eric Kerr.
