Wall-E - A musical? A silent Movie? WTF?
So I went to see Wall-E the other night. I really didn’t know anything about it other than the movie poster looked like Short Circuit…which was an awesomesauce movie so rock on.
So Hello Dolly starts playing and I turn to Rachel and I say…”Oh no, is this a fucking musical?”. She didn’t know. Luckily, it wasn’t.
Here be some potential spoilers:

The first hour of the movie was rather long, and rather silent. No words spoken by the robots really. It was kind of annoying, and drawn out for no reason. Having said that, the animation was magnificent as always, great job Pixar. The robots were cute, the premise made itself apparent during that hour and then it got action packed.
As with all Disney or Pixar movies, I feel like I’ve heard the story before, the characters are just different. The message in this flick was a good one, treat your earth kindly. Nice. Very green. There were some parts in it that I didn’t like, that gave bad messages. Made fun of large people and such, which kinda irked me having been rather large myself for a long time.
It’s worth seeing, just get lots of popcorn and settle in.
