Big Announcement - No I’m not Quitting the Blogosphere (Sorry)
So recently (for quite a while) something has been brewing. Something pretty explosive and exciting for me personally. No, I didn’t have something bad for lunch.
I’d like to thank you for coming here for this announcement. This isn’t of Calacanis caliber, or Michael Jordan, or Wayne Gretzky, or even Tony the Janitor (Alright now!). But hey…

I have joined Strands as the Community Manager / Evangelist, starting July 28th, 2008. I will be HQ’d in the Washington, DC office but rest assured I’ll be in ur cityz hangin in ur habitatz.
In all seriousness, this is something I’m very proud to talk about and announce and to discuss with all of you.
Last year, Marshall Kirkpatrick hooked me up with Gabi from Strands (at that time, MyStrands) who focused solely on recommending music, which is awesome…I love music. Bigger and more amazing things are coming down the pike, and I get to be on board for them.
It’s a long time coming, and it all starts now. I’ll be hitting conferences, talking to all of you, listening to our community, and making our sites and services better with our team, which you can meet here:

Why Strands? - Simple, I like where they are headed, love the team and the concept, and I love the internet and people. I get all of that wrapped up into one.
Will you miss Philly? - I’m only a few hours away, and I’ll get to see all of my homies.
Will you try to change the Strands logo to an orangey color? - Of course, but sekretly, don’t tell anyone!
Does this affect ReadBurner? - Absolutely, 100% not.
Will you still write for DownloadSquad.com? - Yes, but not about Strands (or ReadBurner as always)
Paper or plastic? - Neither, be green, bring your own.
Tuna or Egg salad? - Egg all the way.
Can I have a Strands T-shirt or something? - Sure.
