Pointless or smart?  The new Windows ad with Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates has people talking.

I got it though.  They open up with a direct shot at Apple.

“Discount prices?  Why pay more?”

And the whole circus/clown thing shows humility and admits fault for Vista, plus lets Bill Gates show that he’s human by displaying his infamous mugshot.

At the beginning, Bill is very tight, turning down the Churro.   He’s not fitting in his shoes.   Like a Mac forces you to fit into its environment.   Windows is supposedly more controllable.   So Jerry loosens him up with randomness (the shower thing), gets a size that fits Bill better (Windows), and they walk out happy.

Plus how funny is it that Jerry apparently/eventually talked Bill into a churro?
